"What do you mean I need open-heart surgery?" "What do you mean I had a stroke? "But I am under 40." Those were the words I was able to get out of my mouth...eventually. My hope is that this blog will help others who have similar experiences and need resources...JRS

Hi Allison, Joe and Max! Just wanted to say how happy we are to hear everything is going well. We look forward to having you guys back. Emma has been asking about Max a little too much lately (in perfect spanish accent, of course), I guess we're gonna have to get together with the babies too! Love,
So happy to hear you are doing well! You do look great in the robe, you should definately wear that to work one day. Al, you are a a rockstar! Please call me if you need anything when you get back. -A
Giusepe & Al Our entire fam has been thinking about you guys; huge relief and happiness to read the latest that Joe is on the 'fast track' and almost ready to fly the Cleveland coop. If things continue to progress rapidly today, let me know and I'll make arrangements for a ticket to game 5 in Anaheim tonight. The warm weather will do Joe just right and I know he wouldn't mind working on the tan. And, is it too soon to make reservations for steak night??!!

Dear Joe,
I'm so glad things went well. I was praying for you.
You've been blessed with a wonderful wife. In a few months when you're feeling stronger, one word of advice; "Jewelry"
Looking forward to catching up in-person (it's been too long).

Hey Joe, Allison, and Max:
I'm so glad to hear that things have gone well. Very relieved as I'm the one who spurned you guys along for the life insurance... whew!!!
Anyhow, look forward to seeing you in several weeks....
