"What do you mean I need open-heart surgery?" "What do you mean I had a stroke? "But I am under 40." Those were the words I was able to get out of my mouth...eventually. My hope is that this blog will help others who have similar experiences and need resources...JRS

Perfect results for an Amazing Guy! The posts have been incredible- Once again I am in awe ...
I wish I had the perfect thing to say, but I am speechless....
Congratulations. I am so happy to hear that the surgery went so well. I also want to give you kudos for documenting the whole journey on this blog. Hopefully it will be an encouragement to others facing similar experiences.
(P.S. We don't know each other, I simply found a link to your blog from some other blog)
What exciting news!!! I'm thrilled to hear you knocked it out of the park... and did so better than the yankees (doh, sorry, did I just say that??). So glad you're on the mend - and so is Auntie Angie, Uncle Dennis, Lisa, Mike, Jack and Caroline. In fact, Jack says, "fee-oh beddoh yo-suff!". Allison, I heard Max's delicious cooing in the background in your audio clip - you must be bowled over every single day! And um guys, any of these doctors single?? C'mon, hook a girl up!!! Much love and hopes for a speedy recovery, Danielle
I called earlier today and learned you were on your way home!
Now it's time to relax, recuperate, and get back to enjoying life with your family and friends...and what better way to help pass the upcoming weeks than some good old daytime TV...Opra (her wisdom combined with Dr. Phil’s insight is invaluable), The Price is Right (yes, Bob Barker is back for a record 34th season…now you'll be able to tell anyone in mere seconds…and within a few cents…the price of Rightguard deodorant and various other vital consumer goods), The People's Court (where else can you see a son sue his mother for not paying her rent on time), and other quality programs.
I'll be calling and inviting myself over soon so give some thought to when you would like company. All joking aside, I couldn’t be happier to hear that the surgery went well and you’ll be home shortly.
You’re a great person and a phenomenal friend. I’m looking forward to seeing you again soon.
